NIU labs have a copy of PuTTY already installed.
You may use either turing.cs.niu.edu or hopper.cs.niu.edu as the "Host Hame".

The 1st #### is the 4 digit year of our birth
Mon is the 1st three characters of you birth month, 1st character in caps
And the final ## is the 2 digit date of your birth.
The first attempt to log in to our systems will fail but will trigger the generation of your account and home directory.
Give the system about 15 seconds to complete this task.
Re-run the log-in process. The second attempt should work.

# This example used Caps for 1st character, zero for both o's, a one
for the second i and a comma.
The passwd command will prompt you a second time for the chosen password. If entered correctly, it should accept it.
You may find a slight improvement in performance if you login into the
system where your home directory presides.
