I am currently an Associate Professor of the Computer Science department of Northern Illinois University.  I obtained my Ph.D. degree from the Computer Science Department of the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000,  and my MS and BS degrees from the Computer Science Department of Nanjing University, China.

My research interests center on Services Computing, with a focus on collaborative    scientific workflows, service-oriented architecture, and semantic service discovery.

I am now serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Services Computing (TSC), an Associate Editor of International Journal of Web Services Research (JWSR). I am Program Vice Chair of IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS). I also served on and am serving on other international journals/magazines and conference program committees.
