This is the page for information related to Computer Science at Northern Illinois University.

This is information relating to the Mainframe Operating System Boot Camps

The original version of these were presented as five 'Brown Bag' (BYOL) lectures,

      at Northern Illinois University, 12 noon to 1 pm, Nov. 12, 14, 19, 26, and 28, 2007
Successively updated versions of these lectures have been presented at:
SHARE 110, The IBM Large Systems Users Group, at Orlando in February, 2008,
by Robert Rannie and Milica Kozomara, and at
SHARE 111, at San Jose in August, 2008, and as another set of five BYOL lectures,

       at Northern Illinois University, 12 noon to 1 pm, Feb. 2, 4, 6, 9, and 11, 2009, and at
SHARE 112, at Austin in March, 2009,
by Robert Rannie and Milica Kozomara, under the title of:

Mainframe Operating Systems "Boot Camp" Parts 1 - 6

Note:  For SHARE 112 a Part 6 was added to the presentation.  The printed material

for Part 6 provides a list of "Terms Mainframe Systems Programmers Should Know".

The presentation of Part 6 consisted of Highlights from Parts 1 - 5 for those who missed
some or all of Parts 1 - 5 and served as a Preview for those who might be considering

attending "Boot Camp" sessions at future SHARE meetings.
