IEC032I Error

Provided by Amy Byrnes:

As the semester progresses, it's possible that you might start to get an IEC032I error when you try to save your program. This error is an indication that you've run out of room in the data set that is holding your programs. To avoid this error, you should occasionally compress the data set that is holding your programs. To do this:

  1. Select Option 3/Utilities from the ISPF Primary Option Menu (the first menu that you see after logging on)

  2. Select Option 1/Library from the Utility Selection Panel

  3. Under ISPF Library, make sure that Project is your KC-id number, Group is CSCI360 (or whatever you named it during the lab training), and Type is ASSIGNS (or whatever you named it during lab training)

  4. Put the letter C after the Option===>

  5. Press Enter

If the compression worked, you should see a "Compress Successful" message in the upper right corner.
